2) Are you Nationally Registered for MISSION MOON?

Before you can attend a FIRST LEGO League expo your team MUST be officially registered for
MISSION MOON. There are two very easy ways to tell if this has happened.

  1. You have the MISSION MOON inspire set for each team you have registered!
  2. Check your www.firstinspires.org DASHBOARD - your team should have no red circles and show as paid with a team number that is 5 digits or less.
If you are not yet registered for this season and want to get in on all the fun with your Kindergarten through 4th-grader there is still plenty of time to get started! You will need two adults to register as coaches, access to a LEGO WeDo or a LEGO EV3 (which is a great option for 3rd and 4th graders with prior programming experience). Register your team at www.firstinspires.org. Remember your team can not have more than 6 team members and it is recommended to have no more than 4 for younger groups of children.

To Register with FIRST for your team's National Registration.
  • Go to www.firstinspires.org (create an account if you do not already have one)
  • Login with the option in the upper right corner
  • Make sure you are the TEAMS tab
  • If you did not have a team last year, select Create New Team
  • If you will host less than 16 teams select Individual license
  • Complete your profile and invite both coaches
  • If you had a team last year, update the profile information
  • Make sure you pay FIRST for the team!

3) How to register to attend an Oregon FIRST LEGO League Jr Expo

Registration for FIRST LEGO League Jr Oregon expos will open at 5 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. This will be for all of the expos currently scheduled, and any more that become finalized. If you select an OMSI expo please pick at least 2 times your team can attend. The assignments WILL NOT be official until the Wednesday 3 weeks prior to the event. At which time teams will be notified which event they have been assigned to. Teams may attend more than one expo if they are at different locations AND there is space for all the teams who have not yet attended. Your team will need to pay the expo fee again.

All Oregon expos cost $80-40 on a self-identifying sliding scale.

On Tuesday Night this mailing list will be sent a link to a SurveyMonkey Application. Answer the simple questions (there are only 16!) and pay the fee on the www.ortop.org website and your team will be assigned to an event. You WILL NOT be able to sign up for an event through www.firstinspires.org

The SurveyMonkey link will also be accessible from the Oregon FIRST LEGO League Jr Hot Topics page.
